Challenge: In our market analysis of travel apps, we identified a large gap and opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community. While there are many hotel booking sites and dating apps, connecting with folks in unfamiliar cities is often faced with cultural barriers and stigmas.
Approach: HOP is an app designed for queer travelers around the world to connect with each other and locals as a final project for a course at the School of Engineering. Through user research, testing, and ideation, Elyse Voegeli and I developed a prototype of our MVP, with a video below:
